Illustration Senior Thesis Exhibition 2013

The Illustration Senior Thesis 2013 Exhibition last February was the annual celebration of students’ unique personal voices. To accommodate the large number of seniors in the Illustration Thesis Project, the exhibition was divided into two equally strong and diverse sections. The results spoke for themselves. Both sections received enthusiastic reviews from the college community, as well as from external visitors.

The Illustration Thesis Project course is designed as a step-by step introduction into independent professional work. Each student, after choosing the topic of his/her personal interest, works on it over the span of two semesters. Starting with initial ideas and concepts, followed by comprehensive scholarly research, each student eventually arrives at a cohesive body of artwork. The works at the exhibition were the result of a yearlong quest for students’ unique, personal voices in the field of illustration.
