CAMPUS RESOURCES

Graduate Programs, Payroll and Human Resouces Offices

  • The Graduate Programs office is located on the 4th floor of the Tower building, in T401. Contact the Graduate Program at gradprogram@massart.edu. Office hours, a list of graduate team members, and a link to Graduate Program Directors is posted here.
  • The Payroll office is located on the 8th floor of the Tower building across from the Bursar’s office. Contact gradprogram@massart.edu for questions about your contract or payments.
  • Human Resources (HR) is located on the 8th floor of the Tower building past the Bursar’s office. Contact HR@massart.edu for questions about onboarding paperwork and CORI forms.

 

Library

The MassArt Morton Godine Library, located on the 12th floor of the Tower building, has extensive resources for faculty and students, including books, videos, magazines, journals, and other online resources. Additionally, they offer an inter-library loan system, with peer institutions in Colleges of the Fenway and the ProArts Consortium. 

The Library also offers a wide array of workshops that may be scheduled for your class, including Research Workshops, Artists’ Book Presentations, Introductions to Using WordPress, and more! 

 

Tech Central and The IT HelpDesk

Located on the 3rd Floor of Tower, Tech Central has an extensive selection of equipment that may be borrowed by faculty and students, including cameras, projectors, and more. Provide your MassArt ID to reserve or check out equipment. Additionally, Tech Central can assist with malfunctioning school equipment and help with questions about the school’s email system. Studios and Resources / College-Wide Facilities

MassArt has a number of faciliteis and resources which are available for students from all matriculated programs to use. These resources include the laser cutter, sound studio, and woodshop, among others. Information about what tools and spaces are available, and how to use them, can be found online at Studios and Resources.

 

MassArt Bookstore

The school bookstore, located in the basement of the Kennedy building, sells MassArt branded merchandise along with a wide array of general art supplies and textbooks. Be sure to show your faculty ID on check-out, as you will receive a 10% discount on your purchases.

For those in need of more specific supplies, MassArt is within walking distance of a Dick Blick store (at the Landmark Center) as well as the SMFA school store.

 

Museums

MassArt is located within walking distance of some of the best museums in Boston and you are able to access them for free!

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the Institute of Contemporary Art allow faculty, students, and staff access for free with a MassArt ID. If you plan to take your entire class to the museum, please make a reservation in advance. See Museum Passes I MassArt for more information.

 

Galleries

The graduate program runs two galleries which present graduate student and student or alumni curated events, the on-campus Patricia Doran Graduate Gallery, and the MassArt x Sowa Gallery at 460 Harrison Avenue, in Boston’s South End.
