EXHIBITIONS are curatorial opportunities for graduate students.
The SPRING MFA THESIS block is open to graduating MFA students who wish to curate a concurrent on-campus show as a companion to the exhibition at MassArt x SoWa.
WAKTHROUGHS and REVIEWS blocks offer opportunities for MFA students to use the Doran Gallery for installation of work in progress, for reviews and critiques.
EXPERIMENTAL BLOCKS are open to students’ interpretation and can involve a range of projects and approaches, including individual/group, site specific, pop-up, studio extension, etc.
This student-led programming is designed to offer valuable experience in coceptualizing, planning, curating, and installing exhibitions, working with peers in a dynamic setting. Support from the grad team is provided for exhibitions. *While primarily a graduate student focused space, the Doran Gallery shares time blocks with other programs and departments at the college, particularly during the spring semester.
