CHAIN LINK GALLERY // FEATURING MAGDA LEON
MassArt’s Center for Art and Community Partnerships (CACP) shares an exciting project featuring Magda Léon (MFA ’24 2D).
This winter, we’re thrilled to feature two Chain Link Gallery installations with artwork from Magda Léon. Her work reflects her personal experiences of living between worlds—both as a child of immigrants and as an artist inspired by Mexican political cartoonist José Guadalupe Posada.
The first of Magda’s two installations is now on display along Columbus Avenue near Roxbury Community College with the second going up soon in Grove Hall. Both will remain up through March 2025.
We’re also excited to announce that Magda will give an artist talk at the Grove Hall Library on March 18, 2025.

Constituent Parts is an exhibition featuring Cathy Della Lucia (VA for 2D & MFA Low Residency) and Nicholas Anthony Mancini (Faculty MFA Studio Arts).
This exhibition highlights a decade-long conversation between the participants, who met as MFA students at Boston University in 2015. Together, their works invite us to rethink how we make sense of the world around us.
On view at 808 Galleries (Boston University) from January 21 – March 7, 2025, with an Opening reception on January 30, 2025, 6PM – 8PM.
