MASS MoCA FUNDED GRAD ALUMNI RESIDENCY
The MassArt Graduate Programs are thrilled to continue our alumni residency partnership with MASS MoCA. For the 2025 application, Grad Programs students and alums with a graduation date of 2022-2025 are eligible for MassArt Grad Programs funding!
Application Deadline:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2024
(for July – December 2025 residencies)
RESIDENTS RECEIVE:
- Private, furnished studio space at MASS MoCA, available 24/7
- Housing in attractive apartments directly across the street from the museum.
- One communal meal per day in the company of fellow artists-in-residence.
- MASS MoCA member benefits for three months, including free access to MASS MoCA’s galleries, as well as discounts on performing arts events and store purchases.
- 1-year access to financial and business workshops through MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program, helping artists in all disciplines strengthen the business side of their artistic practice (with advice available on taxes, grant writing, project budgeting, etc.).
- The opportunity to connect with international creative peers.
- Optional studio visit with a curator and other chances to share their work.

- Two MassArt grad alums are selected for funding annually (one alum per application cycle)
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to alumni of any MassArt Masters’ Degree Program
- Graduation dates of 2022-2025 will be considered for funding for the 2025 residency period
HOW TO APPLY
- Applicants apply with and are selected directly by MASS MoCA
- Select the “General Application: July – December 2025 Studios at MASS MoCa Residency” application form
- Select MassArt within the application form
- Deadline: MIDNIGHT on November 8, 2024

MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program and the Studios at MASS MoCA artist residency give artists, writers, and performers of any discipline a range of support services, including residencies on the MASS MoCA campus, financial and business workshops, one-on-one coaching, and other professional development tools to help them achieve greater career success and financial independence.
