Fall and Spring: Graduate programs follow the college’s fall and spring add/drop and refund deadlines and policies. The course add/drop deadline for fall is September 17, 2024 per the Academic Calendar. Note that if students drop a course during the add/drop period, a 100% refund is granted only if they remain enrolled in their graduate program with at least 1 course. After the add/drop period, there is no refund.
If a student needs to unexpectedly withdraw from all program courses for fall or spring, they must do so prior to the start of the term, in writing (email) to the registrar, for a full refund. See the Withdrawal & Refund Policy. For fall 2024, by 9/3/2024, students must email Jonathan Rand to drop courses for a full refund. Students email Elizabeth Smith-Freedman, at esmith-freedman@massart.edu, in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) requesting a Leave of Absence or Withdrawal form. They should also email their Program Director and Nadia Savage at nsavage@massart.edu.
Note that in all of these policies, non-attendance does not constitute an official withdrawal, nor a cancellation of tuition and fees.
