In conjunction with his current show at the ICA, Steve Locke will be giving an artist talk on Thursday September 19, 6:30-7:30 pm. The talk will take the form of a conversation with Evan Garza, curator and writer, about objects, paintings, and the male figure in art. Free tickets are required and are available on the day of the program, first come, first served.

Kyle Brock’s New Baby
Kyle and Kerry Brock’s beautiful daughter Cora was born early Friday morning September 6. All are doing very well.
Kyle, as everyone knows, is our Studio Manager and a graduate of the Art Education Department. Kerry is a MassArt graduate in Printmaking. Kyle met her on his first day at MassArt, at Orientation, when Kerry was starting her first year and Kyle had transferred to MassArt. They were married in 2010.
Kyle will be on paternity leave until September 20. For urgent matters, email him at kyle.brock@massart.edu, and he will respond when he can. If it’s not urgent, please wait to contact him until he returns.

Internships / KidsArts! After-school and Summer Program in Jamaica Plain
KidsArts! is a 19-year-old independent non-profit rooted in the Jamaica Plain community. Their mission is to enrich the lives of children through out-of-school-time multicultural arts classes and activities. They work with elementary-school-age children. On a given day, they have about 30 children in their after-school program.
