Camilo Restrepo In the Arnheim

Camilo Restrepo

with Boston Arts Academy Dance
The Liminal Bend
Arnheim Gallery
February 4-13

Closing reception: February 13, 5-7
Boston Arts Academy sophomore dancers will perform  a structured improvisation directed by Co-chair of the BAA Dance Department, William McLaughlin.

The work featured in The Liminal Bend exists as a response to the physical qualities of the materials.  Much like our clothes or the sheets on our beds, the inanimate objects in The Liminal Bend are in constant transformation. In our minds they may hold the same form, but they pose the possibility of infinite change.  The materiality and the dimensions define what shape the object will take on, but this temporary form is merely a transition, starting from the moment each sheet is cut to its unforeseeable and continuous transfiguration.

Camilo Restrepo graduated from our  MAT program in August 2012 and is teaching at Boston Arts Academy this academic year. See his website about the show.
