Position Summary:
Arts2You helps develop a pipeline of clients for instructors managing all of their administrative, marketing, billing and payroll activities. This allows instructors to do what they do best – teach and demonstrate their artistic talent! We market and match instructors with clients to teach one-to-one and small group lesson programs in their homes for all ages. The instructor devises a mini curriculum tailored to each student’s educational experience and learning goals. In addition, they serve as a mentor to students, inspiring and guiding them to reach their program goals and beyond.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Travels to student’s homes located in Middlesex County suburbs centered around Weston — private transportation is required!

• Teaches 70 minute or longer lessons (depending upon student’s age and lesson program) either from Monday — Friday between 3:30-7:00pm or Weekends (10:00am-5:00pm)

• Commits to 2 weekly lessons at the student’s home for at least 8 consecutive weeks (there is flexibility in scheduling for both the client and instructor).

• Teaches and mentors the student in artistic skills development, as well as being able to think critically about their work and provide creative solutions.

• Guides the student in helping them create a vision for what they want to create.

• Interfaces with Arts2You administrators and students (students and their parents) to fulfill student and company expectations.

• Researches information required to help the student develop their ideas.

• Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with both student and student’s parents which is critical to learning process.

• Understands Arts2You teaching and student management model.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

* Must have private transportation

Knowledge/Skills required: 


• Demonstrable teaching or working with kids & teens experience

• Demonstrable drawing, painting and sculpture skills

• Strong communication skills — both listening and verbal.

• Ability to adapt to change.

 Education, Training and Experience:

• Teaching, working or demonstrable desire of seeking teaching experience with teens & youth

• Bachelors level education in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture , Ceramics and Teaching

PAY:
Pay ranges from $24 -$50/ individual lesson and $34 – $70 /group lesson depending upon educational attainment and work experience.
