a show exploring maternal love at the Trustman Gallery at Simmons College March 26-April 26. A reception will be held Thursday, March 29, from 5—7 pm, with a Q&A with the artists at 5:30 p.m.

Teach Film Accepted for Boston International Film Festival
The Boston International Film Festival has accepted the documentary film Teach: Teachers are Talking, Is the Nation Listening to be screened at this year’s film festival. The film festival will be held from April 13th through April 22th at the Loews Cineplex / AMC, here in Boston, Massachusetts. Teach will be screened on Patriots Day April 16 at 1 p.m

New England Premiere of TEACH
TEACH: Teachers are Talking, Is the Nation Listening will have its New England premiere on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Five years in the making, TEACH, a feature length documentary, is a film by alumna and Boston Public Schools art teacher Yvonne Troxell Lamothe (TPP, MSAE) and her husband, director Robert Lamothe, that includes conversations about the art of teaching and learning by teachers themselves.
Beth Balliro /Contemporary Conversations at the MFA
Tonight, September 29th, Art Education faculty member Beth Balliro will host the inaugural Contemporary Conversation at the Museum of Fine Arts in the new Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art. Free with admission, these talks will meet outside of the gallery every 15 minutes between 6 and 7:30. Tonight, the discussion will feature El Anatsui’s Black River. On Thursday, October 20, the discussion will feature Mark Bradford’s Backward C.
Evelyn Berde
Evelyn Berde (BFA) will be showing Leaving the River: An Installation of Art about Loss and Healing at the West End Museum September 1 – October 8, 2011, with an opening reception Thursday September 9, 6:30-9:30pm. The first installation of this work was in the Arnheim Gallery in November 2009. Evelyn has added more pieces to the installation since then.
