Creating Community Exhibit

Creating Community Class Exhibition Reception
Thursday, Dec. 15, 3:30 – 5 pm, Student Life Gallery, Kennedy Building, 2nd Floor

This fall, the Center for Art and Community Partnerships facilitated a collaboration between Mission Hill seniors and Professor Adriana Katzew’s Art Education students. Students and seniors gathered over the semester at ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway to make art and share oral histories. As the final assignment, student artists have created work responding to this collaboration.

Distinguished Educator of the Year Exhibition

Art All-State
Arnheim Gallery
October 10-28, 2011

Reception: Wednesday October 26, 5-7pm

Art All-State was honored with the Distinguished Educator of the Year award at Commencement last May.

Art All-State brings together some of the most talented juniors from across the state for an intensive two-day art experience. The students, competitively selected, collaborate with artist/mentors to create group installations inspired by the Museum’s collections. Through gallery and studio experiences AAS challenges and inspires these participants to think creatively about themselves and the role that art can play in life after high school.
