Saturday Studios features student work that has been created in the Saturday Studios program over the course of eight sessions during the Fall 2013 semester. Included are works of a variety of media, exploring numerous realms of both 2D and 3D art. Where’s Daddy? features the work of six extraordinary men who work with Boston youth and embody the artist-teacher-father identity.
Works by: Abdi Ali, Ryan Davis, Joe Douillette, Marlon Forrester, Jason Talbot, and Guy Michael Telemaque.
In conjunction with his current show at the ICA, Steve Locke will be giving an artist talk on Thursday September 19, 6:30-7:30 pm. The talk will take the form of a conversation with Evan Garza, curator and writer, about objects, paintings, and the male figure in art. Free tickets are required and are available on the day of the program, first come, first served.
Master of Science in Art Education candidates Damian Barneschi, Jessica Barry, and Theresa Hadley will be exhibiting their thesis work in the Arnheim Gallery from August 16th – 25th. The show will feature a wide array of pieces that vary as much aesthetically as they do conceptually. The opening reception will take place on Friday, August 16th from 5 – 8 PM.
