Hillary Douglas (BFA 2006) sent news of her amazing adventures since graduating:
“After graduating in 2006 I did a year of teaching English and Visual Art abroad in Nanjing, China through the first International Baccalaureate Program to be offered at a Chinese public school. Then, in 2008-09 I did a year of AmeriCorps service in Las Cruces, New Mexico. From there, I’ve taught Visual Art for four years at Zia Middle School, also in Las Cruces. I am now off to embark on my next adventure as a graduate student, at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I have an assistantship to teach an undergraduate level course.”
Cristina Pinton (MSAE 2004) is finishing her first year as visual arts teacher at Avon Old Farms School, a private school in Avon, Connecticut. She teaches dark room photography, printmaking, drawing and architecture and has just been promoted to Visual Arts Chairperson for next year.
