I’m clearing up in preparation for the holiday break, following a wonderful week of reviews. It is so rejuvenating to see and talk with you about your/our students’ work. It makes us all very proud — we learn so much from you and are lifted by the promise of your entering our artist-teacher profession. You remake the field anew, again and again. Eliot School Seeks Teachers and Assistant Teachers

Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts, Jamaica Plain seeks:

TEACHERS and AIDES
VISUAL ARTS 
and WOODWORKING

Teach Visual Arts and/or Woodworking to children through the Eliot’s School Partnership Program, working in Boston Public Schools and non-profit organizations. Work is part-time, with schedules negotiated on a rolling basis. Our current partners are located in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston and the South End. Continue reading

End-of-Semester Events: Portfolio Day

December 12th is Portfolio Day. The student teaching and internship portfolios will be on view in South 109 from noon to 3:00. They will be reviewed by our alumnae Martha Kempe, who teaches at Mather Elementary School in Dorchester, and Donna Sartanowicz, who teaches at Brookline High School.
