Artward Bound Tutor

Artward Bound is a four-year college access program in the visual arts on the MassArt campus. Our current cohort are 9th and 10th graders, who attend the program after school to work on projects that enhance their artistic, academic, and life skills needed for admission to and success at an art/design college or other post-secondary institution.

Supporting students with their homework is a critical part of the Artward Bound program. Homework support is from 3:00-4:30, and from 4:30-6:00 students participate in art projects. We are currently looking for a tutor that would help with homework on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30 (3 hours a week) with the possibility to work 3:00-6:00 (6 hours a week) to also assist with art project s after homework time. The dates of the semester are January 22 – May 30.

The ideal person:

•       Must have patience and a strong desire to help students achieve their goal
•       Has experience providing tutorial and/or academic support services for high school students
•       Is responsible, dependable, honest,  mature, and friendly
•       Is sensitive to a diversity of students
•       Has a solid background in Math
•       Can help students with their math homework

The compensation is $10/hour.
