Rosanne Trolan is the Visual Arts teacher at the Cotting School in Lexington, Massachusetts where she has worked for the past fifteen years. Cotting School serves 120 students ranging from ages 3-22 with a broad spectrum of learning and communication disabilities, physical challenges and complex medical conditions.

At Cotting, Ms. Trolan continues to implement a unique curriculum accessible to all, supported by adaptive teaching methods, adaptive materials and low and high tech adaptive equipment.

Ms. Trolan has acted as a supervising teacher to student teachers and interns from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Lesley College, Boston University, and The University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Since 1993 Ms. Trolan has been a consultant/educator for the Art Education Department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She also continues to coordinate and maintain a partnership with the Museum and Cotting.

Currently a member on the Advisory Council for the Arts, for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Ms. Trolan was unanimously voted in for a second three-year term.

Ms.Trolan completed the Certification Program in Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Prior to this, she attended The Paris American Academy in Paris, France in a graduate degree program majoring in Painting.  Ms. Trolan graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BFA and a minor in Art History.
