TO DO BY MARCH 26:

  1. Please make sure that you are able to log into your MassArt email account. If you need to do a password reset, please contact helpdesk@massart.edu (phone calls are now not possible, so use email). You must contact to Tech Central directly to do a password reset. However, if you already know your MassArt net ID and password, and you’re simply having trouble figuring out how to log into that account from home, drop me a line and I’ll get you there!
  2. Download the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite on your computer if you do not have it already. For this class, you only need to install Lightroom, Bridge, and Photoshop.
  3. Spend a bit of time here on OUR COURSE BLOG and get the lay of the land. All the materials that were previously on Google Drive are now organized and stored here, and I will continue to update this course site weekly between now and May 14.
  4. Your current assignment is Point of View. If you have not read the PoV Lecture, please do so. If you have not yet shot the PoV assignment, please do so ASAP!
  5. Please prepare for your first one-on-one online lab session: Have your PoV images shot, offloaded, and ideally, narrowed down to some selections (10-20 images) that you’re considering working with. If you are struggling to get your software downloaded and up-and-running, or now need a refresher on how to so this (especially from home), email me and I will work with you to get going on this. Going forward, try to make the most of our one-on-one time by being ready to work when we meet online. The more time you spend preparing, the further we can go working together, allowing us to get into more and more advanced pos-production techniques.
  6. Schedule your individual online lab session with me here. These initial time slots are one full hour long, to allow us time to catch up and get back on track before we dig into your imagery.
  7. Watch the Black&White Conversions Technical Demo Video before our individual lab sessions.
