“In February, 1993, I visited two community health projects in La Colonia Casablanca and la Colonia Dolores Hidalgo, in Jalapa, Mexico. … This book is a collection of images and pieces of conversation from my visit to Mexico and the colonias. The quotations are the words of the health educators who I interviewed, translated from the Spanish. The purpose of this book, is not documentation, but reflection, a central tenet of change.”–(p. [3]).
