Majors Registration Day

Majors Registration Day is Tuesday March 29.  Art Education registration will take place in South 109 on the following schedule:
     9:00-11:00   Rising seniors and super seniors
     11:00-1:00   Rising juniors
     1:00-3:00     Rising sophomores
No appointments – just come and sign in on your advisor’s sheet and you will be seen in order.
Important:  please print out your Program Evaluation (tally sheet) before you come.  Also, look at the class schedules and make a draft of your fall courses and bring this along.

Sarah Gay Teaching Animation Workshop

filmstrip-sarahSarah Gay (MAT) will be teaching a workshop called  Pixilation Fixation Interactive Stop–Motion during the Young Filmakers Screening  at the Cyclorama at the BCA  Saturday, April 2nd from 6–7 pm

The Young Filmmakers Competition is a program for filmmakers ages 16–22.

Artist Educator in Residence

Joe Fusaro will be an Artist/Educator in Residence in our department April 19-21st and will be visiting classes and studios and giving a presentation. He is the Senior Education Advisor for Art21 and will model how to use Art21 films in guided discussions.

Lois Hetland says, “Joe is a brilliant facilitator of classroom conversations. He exemplifies the artist-teacher model that we espouse in Art Ed. He’ll teach us a lot about how to work as a practicing exhibiting artist while teaching in a full-time context and maintaining a global presence through blogs, films, and consulting.”
