Magical Realism:
An Exhibition of Artwork Inspired by Ecuador

Eleven teaching artists exhibit their work in response to the two-week travel course in Ecuador in July 2010. The exhibition demonstrates using art practice as a means to develop an understanding of the variety of experiences encountered in Ecuador. Themes explored include: biodiversity, urbanization, creating memories, cultural traditions, and the role of craft.
The 2011 MFA Candidates have completed five-eighths of their terminal degree.
We invite you to come and see what they’ve been making at this school-wide event.
Work will be on view in the Tower Lobby, as well as the Arnheim, Brant, and Doran Galleries.
