Please come see this term’s Saturday Studios Exhibition (December 8 – 13, reception Dec. 13, 11:30 am – 12:00 pm), which features the work of 4th – 12th grade students (and a few of their parents!) who participated in our Fall 2008 session. Classes were designed and taught by MassArt Art Education students, under the supervision of faculty members Lois Hetland (Program Director and Supervisor), David Ardito (Supervisor), and Kyle Brock (Program Administrator).

Mythic Creatures

museumo.jpgKristen Mills’ Portfolio II class went on a field trip to the Museum of Science Friday November 14 and had "a blast." 

Kristen saw in the Museum of Science’s literature that a scientist is one who tests theories, gathers data, finds answers,  engages in thought-provoking discussion –and has fun while exploring.    Pretty much like an artist.

Professor Emeritus Claudine Bing

Lois Hetland on NPR

Lois Hetland was featured on National Public Radio on Thursday, November 6 on "Around Noon," a show by Dee Perry out of Ohio.  The special call-in show on arts education also included Annie McNally-Dienes from Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio and award-winning Berea High School art teacher, Jim Bycznski.
