Masconomet Art Program Wins Awards
At this year’s Boston Globe Scholastic Awards, Masconomet Regional High and Middle School in Topsfield won more awards than any other school in the state.
Congratulations to our many Art Education alums who teach at Masconomet: Ursina Amsler (MSAE 2006), Julie Colotti (TPP 2007, current MSAE student), Yvonne (Wiktorowski) Malinowski (MSAE 2002), Elizabeth Saitta (TPP 2004, current MSAE student), and Joseph Yutkins (MSAE 2008). Most of the faculty of the Art Department at the middle and high school are in fact our alums, as is Art Department head Walter Meinelt.
Walter Meinelt put together a PowerPoint presentation documenting the award winning students and their work.

Brookline Open Studios
Several Art Education alumnae will be participating in Brookline Open Studios this weekend May 2 and 3, 11:00-6:00.
Madeline Fine (MSAE 2007) will be showing silver and gold-filled jewelry and gelatin silver prints at 241 Cypress Street. See her website.

Evelyn Berde, who went to MassArt with John Crowe, will open her studio at 14 Doran Road. Evelyn teaches children in her studio as well as painting colorful images of multi-cultural life. See her website.
