Camp Counselor/Arts at Maine Arts Camp

Maine Arts Camp, www.maineartscamp.com, is an overnight camp for children ages 8-16,  located on the campus of Unity College, www.unity.edu, in Unity, Maine.  The camp season for staff runs from July 4 – August 5, 2012. They are seeking staff interested in living and caring for campers for the month of July.  They offer over 60 activities, including a wide variety in the arts (painting, drawing, pottery, hand building, metal jewelry, stained glass, sculpture, and more). Besides the arts,  activities include music, theater, photography, dance, gardening, culinary arts, videography, individual sports and much more. Continue reading

Film Screening: August to June: Bringing Life to School

The Friends of Mission Hill School invite you to a screening of August to June: Bringing Life to School, a 90-minute documentary that chronicles a year in an unconventional public school classroom in California. A panel discussion with the filmmakers and educators will follow the screening. Proceeds will benefit Mission Hill  School.

There will be a  $10 general admission fee  ($5  for students)  as this is a benefit for Mission Hill School.
