After teaching in the Boston schools for two years, Cristina Pinton (MSAE 2004), who is originally from Connecticut, moved to Italy in 2004.  She wanted "to create a renewed familial, emotional, and artistic relationship with the Italian culture that her father, originally from the Veneto, first shared with her."  She earned an MA in Printmaking/Book Arts from the Scuola di Grafica in Venice.  Cristina currently teaches photography, sculpture and drawing courses at a private study abroad program in Florence (see http://www.necaflorence.com/). She has exhibited her art work in Venice, Rome and Florence and is "both inspired and challenged by her experiences abroad, especially with the idea of identity in relationship to travel, personal history, memory, childhood, and culture."

Cristina recently joined the tour company Context Tours and will be offering "Picturing Florence: A Photography Workshop."  See the contexttravel.com website for more information. She also gives Chanti wine tours with an organization called Tuscan Trails.
