A conversation considering the parallelsĀ and differences between guided group dialogue and studio critiques. Key topics will include the dialogical method of art interpretation, the studio critique method, artistic process and intent, and the role of the museum educator.
Rika Burnham is Head of Education at the Frick Collection andĀ co-author of Teaching in the Art Museum.
Monica Garza is Director of Education at the ICA.
Steve Locke is of course a faculty member in our department and an artist who will be having a solo show at the ICA in the coming year.
