Camp Wicosuta is a traditional four-week sleepaway camp for girls in Hebron, New Hampshire that offers two sessions. Located on Newfound Lake, working at Wico is a perfect job for someone who loves working with kids and wants to spend their summer outside!
Our philosophy is based on providing the “3 C’s”: Confidence, Competence & Community. Our goal is for every camper to walk away feeling confident in herself, and competent in her abilities in any number of areas. We teach these skills in a physically and emotionally safe community in which our campers are challenged to move past their self-set limits.
Activity Heads at Wicosuta directly supervise Camp Counselors teaching and instruction. Activity Heads are responsible for all aspects of their program area from supervising staff and designing curriculum to area maintenance and staff scheduling. AHs have a high level of expertise in their area including experience supervising, teaching, and coaching children ages 6-15 & staff. AHs are self-starters, flexible, organized and creative. They are leaders of their areas and of camp.

- Previous supervisory experience prefered
- Train counselor staff both during orientation and ongoing training throughout the summer
- Supervise instruction during activity periods
- Review performance of activity staff for the directors every two weeks
- Assist and participate in Evening Activities and Special Events
- Lead trips both supervising counselors and campers when needed
- Assist and participate in Evening Activities and Special Events when needed
- Evening On Duty rotation
As a member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for all aspects of our art program.
Our art program focuses on some of the following: ceramics, painting, drawing, jewelry making, silk screening, photography and digital photography
