Yael Kupiec-Dar (MSAE 1994) is currently teaching at Ephraim Curtis Middle School in Sudbury. She earned a MFA in Painting at Maryland Institute of Art several years after completing her MSAE.   She also obtained National Board Certification and has mentored new teachers through the Massachusetts Department of Education Master Teacher Program.

In May Yael’s sixth and seventh graders had an exhibition in the Children’s Room of the Sudbury Goodnow Public Library.   The students worked in teams to create 2-d, pixilated reproductions of famous works of art in Lego brick.    After the Sudbury exhibit, the works will be on display at the Boston Children’s Hospital.  The project was funded in part by a grant from the Sudbury Cultural Council.

Yael has three daughters.
