A Brookline family is seeking an arts and crafts teacher to come to their house in Brookline Village
(near the T-stop at Washington Street and Route 9) to give lessons on the following types of activities:
painting
watercolor
sketching
figure drawing/still life
printmaking
sculpting/clay
textiles
mixed media/collage
This family has just installed an arts and crafts room in their home. They are interested in 2- to 3-hour sessions (including prep and clean-up), which would occur once or twice per week, depending on their travel and school schedules. The teacher would also be paid for his or her time to help a professional organizer fully set up the Craft Room. They have a room now, but no supplies.
There may be party opportunities, too, as well as more business through word-of-mouth with the family’s friends.
The lessons will be for the family’s two parents, Shannon and Kevin, as well as for their children:
Shane is 10 and going into 5th grade; Myles is 8 and going into 3rd grade; and Jordan is 6 going into 1st grade. (The older children are boys, and the youngest is a girl.)
The family will pay the teacher $20 per hour.
If interested in the position, please email lgarmon@comcast.net and pinkd5@yahoo.com with a brief note of introduction and CV or resume.
