Naomi (Fletcher) Graham aka Nome (BFA, Community Education, 2003) recently lead a group that painted the new emergency entrance corridor for the Monadnock Community Hospital. Keeping in mind that the people entering the hospital this way are in distress and most likely lying on a stretcher, the artists designed the mural to soothe and relax. Nome worked with high school students designing the mural elements and painting the sea creatures that line the walls and ceiling. Elementary grade students were then invited to contribute their own original paintings along the lower walls. The overall effect is one of moving through a a watery dreamscape.
