Printmaking Weekend at Monhegan Island

Monhegan Island Experience

MSAE alum Mardi Reed will be offering a trip to Monhegan Island, where she will lead walks and printmaking workshops.  Monhegan is 20 miles off the coast of Maine and has 15 miles of hiking trails. 

Mardi says "The studio has a lovely view of the water with a wrap around deck and path to the rocks.  I will lead walks in the morning and support you in developing your process and introduce printmaking techniques each afternoon."  Deadman’s Cove (left)  is the view from the front of the studio.

 Schedule:    9:30-11:00    hike
                        1:00-4:00      print and paint at the Curator Studio

Cost:              $65 a day or $150 for three days

You would make your own arrangements for accommodations.  Check out the following lodging places on the Monhegan website:  Trailing Yew, Hitchcock House, Tribler Cottage, Shining Sails Bed and Breakfast, and Monhegan House Inn.

 Mardi will be driving up on Saturday the 5th to the ferry at Port Clyde and may be able to take participants.

Mardi also gives workshops in her Pudding Stone Studio in Jamaica Plain and leads drawing walks at the Arnold Arboretum.
