Major Studio 1 – Projects

After consulting with Sharon and thinking deeply about what I can and can’t get done in four weeks, I’ve decided on the following projects:

  • Giant Sculptural Head, situated in my backyard. Ideally, this would be situated back home, in Montana, but current COVID logistics make that impossible. The sculpture will be approximately 4x4x4 feet and made from carved foam board, foam coat (a mortar-type material specially formulated to adhere to foam, and some acrylic stain).
  • Earth Beads, also situated in my backyard. These will be created by using pipe and dirt. They will then be allowed to integrate with the backyard  – moss and grasses encouraged to cover.
  • Grandmother, a painting based on one of my conceptual drawings.
  • Heart Beat, an animation project from my Animation Integration class.
