I left a love letter at your feet and scurried away like a lowly
insect
Meeting my quota for being brave for the week 

Sometimes I want to shrink down in size from 5 foot 6 inches tall to

                                                    6 inches tall to 5.6 nanometers tall to 3 atoms tall

                                      Invisible to the human eye 

          Curl up to the size of a 20mg Lexapro
                        And live under a rock 

                                                    People have told me I’m too big
                                                            Take up too much room on the T
                                                                                     At the dinner table

                                        Unfortunately I believed them 

                                   One day I’ll stand tall and stretch out my fleshy
                                                                                                               arms

 

                               But for now I’m fine just sitting
