PAUL FITZGERALD
The vitality of organic form in all its protean configurations – its shapes and its textures, its sounds and its movements, its rhythms and cycles, its patterns and its poetry are at the heart of my drawings. My work is a vibrant confluence of mark making sprung from the natural world that I reconfigure with charcoal, ink and crayon into new abstractions that surge with vitality.
Paul Fitzgerald received his BFA in Art History from MassArt where he currently works as a Writing Specialist at the Academic Resource Center. An accomplished horticulturalist and garden designer, Fitzgerald’s connection to the natural world is life-long and deeply informs his studio practice.
