
Massachusetts College of Art and Design is proud to present MAFF (MassArt Film Festival) 2025, featuring culminating thesis work from nineteen 2025 graduates of MassArt’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Film/Video, as well as theatrical works from the college’s three 2025 Master of Fine Arts candidates in Film/Video.
The centerpiece of the festival, the MAFF: Contrast theatrical screening, hosted at the Museum of Fine Arts’ Remis Auditorium in Boston, MA, is a full-day student-programmed event featuring short films from each of this year’s Seniors and Grads. MAFF 2025 includes three screening programs on Saturday, May 17th:

An on-campus MAFF: Contrast gallery exhibition, featuring expanded cinema and 2D/3D artworks from select graduating BFA seniors, is on view at the MassArt Student Life Gallery from APRIL 30 – May 9, with a closing reception on Thursday, May 8, 5-8pm.
Work from the Film/Video department’s three 2025 MFA Candidates can be seen alongside work in other disciplines from across the college’s graduate programs at MassArt x SoWa, in MassArt’s 2025 MFA Thesis exhibition, on view through May 22. The MassArt Graduate Programs present MFA Thesis Talks on Friday, May 9 at 1pm EST. The concurrent on-campus MFA thesis exhibition, A Fervent Chorus, includes a special one-night expanded cinema event on May 8 from 5-8pm.
