Leslie Lyman’s work is hauntingly beautiful. Her vision, exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail give voice to the weight of invisible labor, and to all who quietly create a life of beauty and comfort for others, day, after day, after day, after day………
Leslie – your art is simultaneously meticulous and ethereal. The images and narrative are so tender and haunting. I cannot imagine how even more beautiful they are up close and blown up – your humility and creativity are truly breathtaking – thank you for sharing it and I look forward to more
I love the purity of Leslie Lyman’s vision. Her work invites deep contemplation of our own repetitive tasks. The utilitarian objects she uses in her constructs remind us of our mothers and grandmothers putting these seemingly simple objects to work. I’m so glad we were able to see the ingenious method she used to suspend the chair and its well-worn linen slip!
