PLATES

For my MFA – Thesis, I have titled this series as ‘PLATES’. This brings conversation to reference multiple facets. The two forms are installed on a base of freshly raked stone dust and located in a 32′ x 24′ unfinished concrete foundation. The work employs two portions separated by a narrow rift for viewers to pass through. Although this iteration garners two plates totaling 21 ½ ‘ x 13’, the construction allows for them to be conjoined into one larger installation; or divided into several smaller clusters.
