‘OPEN FORM’ is another series of sculptures that repurpose the same discarded wood material. The conversation of the forms are versed to interpretation and reference multiple meanings. The differing forms are installed in a rural residential public space under the canopy of oak trees along with understory tree specimens, perennials, native flora, grasses and a meandering stone wall. The approximate a 26′ x 16′ installation area is selected purposefully to juxtapose the forms among sentient beings and inorganic objects. The installation employs multiple sculptures with varying sizes and shapes. Distance and proximity allows viewers to wander, thus creating an experience of place. Although this iteration is contingent upon the location, each OPEN FORM allows for differing installations with multiple arrangements either indoors or out.
