It is my belief that successful learning communities are built on a foundation of mutual respect and the free sharing of ideas. I aim to create a positive learning environment that is a safe and supportive place for all students to take risks, learn from mistakes, and achieve success. I strive to provide students with an opportunity to create and express; I aim to facilitate learning experiences that are open-ended and designed to help students develop confidence, critical thinking skills, craftsmanship, and an artistic voice. My ultimate goal is to instill in students a love for themselves and the desire to empower themselves through education.
