One of my main goals remains the incorporation of biodegradable materials that are locally sourced, either directly from my garden or other local waste streams. I’ve started this exploration by creating paper and bioplastics from blackberries and peas grown in my garden and harvested in the summer and fall. Work with fungi has just begun and focuses on the local foraging of mushrooms as well as spore collection.
