The MassArt Illustration department and its students believe that getting out of the classroom and studios with a group of friends and soon-to-be-friends to have a good time, socialize, experience Boston and Massachusetts and draw what we see around us not only is enjoyable but a fun learning experience. We learn through others around us and the art they are making and through practice and seeing and drawing things around us, we learn to be better artists.

Draw En Mass is led by both a teacher representative and a student representative.  The student representative rotates yearly and is in charge of developing Draw En Mass events throughout the school year. It is encouraged that other students who have interesting ideas for locations and certain walks tell the reps about it and help put it together!
